The man I saw wasn't real. He couldn't be. I now knew where the expression, 'Its to good to be true', came from. He was beautiful. Graceful in the way he stood, yet so dull in the face, almost lifeless. His eyes expressed no emotion. All I could do was breath as i stared at him, but i was beginning to fail at that. His eyes rose to mine. It didn't feel long enough though, before he looked away.

When I met him I was only seven years old. I was young, impressionable, and possibly even a little naive, but when he got on his knee and promised me the world... I believed him. I still believe him. I live everyday in this cell only because of his promise that it'll all be worth it in the end. My prince will come to rescue me.
