The palace is full of dark secrets and jealous court ladies. To be able to survive in such a jungle is to hold all the cards or prepare to live a life of misery or even death.

Jang Eun Bi is a young, beautiful mute palace maid, who has served the Crown Prince since she was a child. She is mute due to a terrible incident when she was young and cannot remember anything because of the tragedy. Seeing her potential, the Crown Prince, who grew up knowing no affection but finding it in Eun Bi, takes her under his wing and overtime a fragile love begins to bloom between them, but they are then challenged on all sides with those trying to depose him and those trying to oust Eun Bi out of the palace. In the process, the Crown Prince's father, the king also becomes attracted to Eun Bi and comes in between the two lovers which threatens the father and son's already fragile relationship. Will Eun Bi be able to survive palatial politics and the jealous women that plagues her everyday life while keeping her head intact? Will she choose between the Crown Prince, the king, or her childhood friend?
