Tris knew it was not her time to go and she was determined to find a way back to her friends, but mostly Tobias.

All her work has finally paid off, she can go back to Chicago and stay under one condition, win over Tobias' heart in three months. She thinks this is easy, but it isn't.

She has the same personality, but looks completely different. Brown, pixie cut hair, hazel eyes, a small nose, and is tall. She has a new name, Rebecca or Becca. She hates everything about her new self.

Tobias is not the same person as when Tris died. He is back to Four, but much worse. He is cold hearted and doesn't care about anyone's feelings. He no longer talks to females unless necessary, and blocks everyone out no matter who they are. Tris is the only cure. He cries himself to sleep because he misses her and just wants fo see and hold her and never let go.

Tris believes she can do this, because if she does, not only will she stay and be her true self, but she will bring back her friends and parents.

When she goes back, she is not a member of Dauntless, but a 16 year old initiate with Tobias as her instructor.
