Since outlawed in 2004 if any Connectors are found breaching to other worlds they are taken and forced to relive their live in a facility as normal beings. The two start talking, and eventually, Kaz remembers a rumor he heard about the possibility of opening a dimensional portal within the dream, through a specific ritual.
