"You gon end up just like me" "Just because you got that degree don't mean shit" "Fuck you, stupid hoodrat" Just a few of the hateful things that Jazzmyn had heard growing up in drug riddled public housing. She gave up her life to raise her 3 younger siblings right so that the streets didn't swallow them up. Finally given the right tools to get where she needs to be in life, she has to manage raising 3 kids from half-way across the country. Being a rookie isn't easy, but being a rookie for a team that is considered "one of the worst teams" in the NBA makes it 10× harder especially when you know you have the talent and drive to take this team places where it's never been. Kyle worked his whole life to get where he is and he knows he's blessed to even be in this position but he can't help but to wonder how his life could be better. Fate brings these two together, they unknowingly teach each other to appreciate life no matter what your situation might be.

Nysir finally graduates high school - not just with a diploma in hand, but with the girl he once thought he'd only dream about by his side. The future looked promising. He had the love, the talent, and the drive. Back home, he was that guy - the name everyone knew, the one who ran the courts, the hometown legend with highlight reels and college scouts watching his every move. Life felt like it was finally aligning. But everything changed the moment he stepped onto his new campus. College ball is a different beast. The air's heavier, the stakes are higher, and nobody cares about what you did back home. Here, every gym is filled with killers - dudes just as fast, just as hungry, just as desperate to rise. Some are stronger. Some are smarter. Some are willing to do whatever it takes. And in this world, loyalty means nothing if it gets in the way of the dream. It's no longer about teamwork - it's every man for himself. Trust is a luxury. Friends can turn into rivals overnight. One mistake, one missed step, and someone's already in line to take your place. Now, Nysir has to fight not only to earn respect, but to keep it. To hold onto love, his spot, and his sanity in a world where betrayal doesn't come with a warning. And the question that haunts him every night: Is being the best worth losing yourself for?
