This is an extended metaphor that I wrote when I was feeling vulnerable and had no other way of expressing how I was feeling. I have had high school teachers teach classes based on this poem when teaching freshman classes and I wanted to share it with the rest of the world, whoever is willing and wanting to read.

UPDATE: I wrote these when I was 13 and depressed all the time. I'm 18 now, and, fortunately, life's been going well! Unfortunately, these poems are fairly cringe, so read at your own risk. These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem.
