"Hayee, Daima you are turning 23 in a week! Don't you think you should get married?", she paused, "MaShaAllah, you're fair, you're tall and slim, how do you not have a boyfriend?"

That...was my judgy aunt, who also is a rishta aunty. She has fixed about 59 alliances and they have all been a success.

Somehow a rishta aunty, had to be my own fathers sister.

And since the day I became an adult, I have been told to get married. Because these alliances don't come on a daily basis.

"Look at this", she said as she opened her laptop, "This is Waqas Khan, he is a lawyer, and look he is tall and handsome and fair. It's a perfect match for you!"

However, I had absolutely no interest in getting married. My ideal age for all that marriage stuff was 28, not 23.

But how long will I be able to stay single when I have this rishta aunty after me?

As I took a seat beside her, I realised that she was awfully quiet. "Is everything fine", I asked her. Naina licked her lips and looked at me. For a few seconds none of us said anything and then finally she said- "Aakash, my family has a second-hand car. I have been earning for quite sometime now but my savings aren't enough for even a bike. We live in a small apartment, which you have seen already, throughout my life I have shared everything...my books, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, even my laptop with my elder sister." I did not understand why Naina was saying all this with a sad expression. To me, everything that concerns her always feels happy and worth being proud of. She continued- "What I am saying Aakash, is that I am nowhere worthy, capable, or even habituated of a life where my husband owns a house with an elevator or where he wishes to buy me a helicopter. We are so different, Aakash. This scares me a lot". Not even for a moment have I ever felt that Naina would be insecure of my living standards. But, I understood where she was coming from. "Naina", I replied, "All this extravagant decorations, this lavish home, my expensive lifestyle, none of this means anything to me. It is a facade I have to maintain for the world. YOU ARE MY HOME". *** Here's the story of Naina Khanna and Aakash Arora. Two people who are from completely different backgrounds, however destiny brings them together and their souls connect. But, when dreams come true unexpectedly, can you keep them safe? How will these two shy and introverted souls carry their marriage and what will be their story? To know more follow "Dheere Dheere Se" _________________________________________ Rishabh carried me towards the bed and slowly placed our bodies without breaking the contact. "This was a little difficult to do" he said breathlessly. I giggled and asked "who asked you to carry me all the way round then?" Sliding next to me he spoke "You always told me about your book men who carry their women, I wanted to try the same with my woman" I couldn't stop the huge grin that took over my face and pecked on his lips, pulling my body over him. Looking at my amused face he asked "what?" "Nothing. You're just adorable" I said playing with his fluffy hair, halfly lying on his body. "Am I?" He asked teasingly "Umm-hmm" Our eyes locked together, and he brought his head upwards towards me while I captured his lips with mine. Longing, desperation, tiredness all turned into warmth, coziness and us. He rolled our bodies together and I was in the bed now while he topped me. I was waiting for him to make the move. My breath getting heavier, it was a long day, a long week actually exhaustion, sleepless nights and overworking but I was so prepared for him to devour me like the day after that movie. Instead Rishabh kissed my forehead. "I know you're tired, we don't have to do it now" saying he scooted on his side. He took my hands into his and threaded them together and we fell into a peaceful silence in each other's presence.
