“What’s that look?” she asked with a smirk.
“What look, love?” he said, innocently.
She looked in to his eyes, seeing the warm happy feeling that hang on them.
“That look” she said, smiling after a moment of examining him.
“I’m happy” he said, taking his right-hand from the steering wheel and placing it on her hand.
“I really am. The last couple of days have been the best days of my existence. Hearing the most amazing three words from you that just makes my heart skip a beat just makes me wonder if I’m dreaming” he kept talking, as his eyes twinkled and he felt a lift in his heart.
Caroline was amazed, speechless. She was wondering if this is “Nicklaus Mikaelson” the well know ‘big bad hybrid’.
