The capital has been bombed. Everyone including the President, VP, virtually every member of Congress and all nine Supreme Court judges are dead. Now the country had been put into the hands of one man. Tom Kirkman, otherwise known as the Designated Survivor. 

This story will cover much of the show but it'll be focused on the feelings and thoughts more. Alex is being blamed for supposedly having a part in this catastrophe. While the team believes she is innocent, Peter MacLeish has managed to convince the rest of the country of the terrorist backed beliefs of the Russian First Lady. It'll go through how these allegations affect the Kirkman's marriage and Tom's presidency.
