The Siren's Call
What happens when a young siren meets a human man? She certainly won't drown him, he's too special. But what would the other sirens say about it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my NaNoWriMo 2021 entry. It was, as the challenge goes, written in the span of one month. As such it has not been well revised and is less than ideal. It is likely not fleshed out properly, as when I wrote it I was merely sticking to a story and a timeline so that I could finish in time. Sirens in this world do not drown humans. Running from my mate
Start: 11 May 2018 Finish: 6 December 2018 I see the drop of the cliff in the corner of my eye. I take an unsteady step backwards. "There is no running from here." He speaks calmly and holds up his arms as if he's approaching a scared animal. "Just come with me and everything will be alright." Even through my fevered vision I see his lie clear as day. He reaches for me in the little space between us. I pull away and feel my feet slip on the edge of the cliff. The fall feels like it lasts a lifetime. I hear someone scream my name. A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Compleet

Cleansing the Waters
It's a shame, truly... When a boy is pushed to far, he slips, and cascades down the mountain, resulting in grievous injuries, which lead to him being bound to a wheelchair. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but in this world, he was seen as a liability, he was unable to find a friend, someone to connect to, all because he couldn't walk to a conference room, having his only solace be the bedridden USS Yorktown. After gazing to the ocean once more, he turns to head back, but was knocked unconscious, an act seen by many of the shipgirls. It was the Sirens, coming to gain a new follower.Compleet

When smugglers catch an unspeaking maiden in their fishing nets, there is no reasonable way to know how she ended up in the middle of the ocean or what to do with her. When a lady pirate is saved from drowning, she is left with a lungful of saltwater and a debt to her unlikely saviour. When a cruel man holds sea monsters captive, the truth is unbelievable. One fateful day, I was sailing alongside the carrier Queen Elizabeth. I disappear into a mysterious fog and emerge on the other side to see that I somehow gone to a different past. What's worse is that I must try to hide my abilities and past behind, or die (A/N: This is a second run series as an accident occurred earlier on 11/25/2024 where I accidentally deleted 21 published parts and 1 draft. I do apologize and will redo the story from the beginning, I will make some things different to make it a tiny bit different from it but will be original as possible.)
