A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Complete

And it's not just about what happened to her real parents or why she dreams of some creature biting her in the night. As a ton of guys want to be with her when she doesn't know them and she feels called to the water where she dreams of having a tail. Will the truth break her or help her? Furthermore can she help her father with the accusations he's been accused of before she loses him forever.Complete

One fateful day, I was sailing alongside the carrier Queen Elizabeth. I disappear into a mysterious fog and emerge on the other side to see that I somehow gone to a different past. What's worse is that I must try to hide my abilities and past behind, or die (A/N: This is a second run series as an accident occurred earlier on 11/25/2024 where I accidentally deleted 21 published parts and 1 draft. The Siren's Call
➖After her mother's death, seventeen year old Karis tries to drown herself and is mysteriously saved by a boy who assumed she was unconscious. But some things he says don't add up, and he realizes the consequences of his actions, since saving drowning humans is against the law. So he gives her two choices: Never speak a word of what happened and go back to whatever life she despised so much, Or Come with him to an underwater city she never thought existed. After choosing the latter in a risky gamble, both her and the boy might be in for more than they bargained for when they discover the city is under attack. Will they be able to save it and the people in it in time, or will following the boy be a big mistake? The Siren's Call
What happens when a young siren meets a human man? She certainly won't drown him, he's too special. But what would the other sirens say about it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is my NaNoWriMo 2021 entry. It was, as the challenge goes, written in the span of one month. As such it has not been well revised and is less than ideal. It is likely not fleshed out properly, as when I wrote it I was merely sticking to a story and a timeline so that I could finish in time. Sirens in this world do not drown humans. Instead, they feed off of the adoration from humans that they lure close, and then wipe their memory.Complete
