"You know I really don't understand how stupid people are sometimes" I said lifting a sword up to deflect a blow from his heavy two handed sword. They clashed together making sparks, but I wasn't done talking.

"How it is that a trained guard like you can't even beat a fifteen year old girl" I said and he growled swiping at me. I ducked and slashed his knees making him almost fall to the ground, and then he roared and swung at me madly with me blocking and dodging his strikes every time "I mean yeah I am a trained assassin by Black Shadow herself, but I would think that you would be better than this" I swung down and cut his sword in half with him looking at me in pure fear.

"Y-you know Black Shadow" he stuttered shaking with fear

"Yeah she's my mother" I said

I am an assassin trained by my mother. The best of the best when it came to assassin rankings, and when I found out that I had to go to a school after sixteen years of learning things at home. I was frustrated and mad but I didn't know that what would happen here would change my life forever.

Book One of the Eximius Series: The Animal Inside * * * * * Suddenly a strong arm grabbed me. I screamed. A hand covered my mouth. "Now, now, now. What's with all the fighting?" said a voice from behind me. The shadows stopped in their tracks. Everyone else froze, looking at me and the person that held me. I realized it was the Shadow Master. "Stop the fighting or I kill her." He held out his hand. A shadowy haze floated around his hand. It was there for a moment, then it disappeared, leaving a dagger in his hand. The dagger had a clean, sharp blade. The handle was as black as the shadows he commanded. He held the dagger to my neck. I could feel the cold blade against my skin. It seemed so close that it would cut me if I even swallowed. "Try to free her and she's dead in an instant. I don't think you want an innocent person's blood on your hands." * * * * * Kefira thought she was just a normal teenager. Little did she know. Kefira is part of a few select members of society born with Powers. People with Powers are trained and go onto become Super Heroes, or Super Villains. Kefira must learn to master her abilities, and to get along with the strange voice that talks to her in her mind. Along the way, she meets many interesting people, some nice and some...well, less so. But when a Super Villain comes along, and shows her not all is as it seems, and her new-found friends are keeping something from her, Kefira starts to wonder if everything has been led to believe is true. What can she do? Who can she trust? Can she master the animal inside?

The Enforcers are up against a formidable foe who has more planned than just the elimination of some wolves. The whole supernatural and natural world is in jeopardy if they don't find a way to get rid of him and his followers. All the old characters are here along with some new ones. (Sequel to The Hunted) Excerpt: "Lex, I think you should just sit down." Gideon says to me in an almost plea. I look to him and then back to Victor who is clearly doing everything he can to contain his anger at the moment. I clench my teeth together and I do the dumbest thing I probably should have in that moment, "You can all go to hell." I say through gritted teeth. I have a problem with anger okay? It couldn't just back down to these he-man wannabe's after all the BS that they had put me through. My eyes widened as Victor let out a fierce roar and then before my eyes he went from man to beast. It happened so quickly that no one even had a moment to respond to it. He was charging at me from across the room and I was standing frozen with wide eyes as he came at me. The wolf collided with me full force and my body slammed into the ground with a sickeningly loud crack. I felt all my bones snapping and rattling together as I hit the ground. The wolf caged me underneath himself his big sharp teeth snarling inches from my face. I blinked a couple time as I stared into those glowing blue eyes and I felt my heart beating in ears. This was it, I was going to be killed because I couldn't keep my stupid mouth shut and just do what I had been told.
