For as long as Spencer could remember, life was unpredictable. They never expected their mother to remarry. They never expected to have a half brother. They never expected to have a disastrous coming out as gender fluid at their first school dance, and they certainly never expected to be accepted into the Cluskey Institute of Mental and Physical Agility (CIMPA). Now, being a new student, and one of the youngest, they will find that life will once again be filled with new turns as they join a mysterious elective known as "September". Led by a stoic, creepy man called Professor, Spencer and their peers must learn to challenge the ways of the world while holding their tongues full of secrets as they uncover the purpose of the program and carry out their duties as its students.
