The Chinese folklore is about a magical connection between two people that are destined to be soulmates, called 'the red string of fate'. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red string of fate is what most people in life see, it makes a clear path to the one you are destined to be with for the rest of your life. Although there are outliers who never see the beautiful color of red tied to their fingers. Color. It's something our brain makes up. It doesn't really exist. So how come everyone made a big fuss about meeting and touching their soulmate so they could see in color? After all, what's so bad about black and white? Aren't they colors too? That's what Nico thought anyway. When he was younger he had tried to imagine a new color but had never been able to.
