To the Depths

Before the Great Depression shattered his dreams of a perfect life and her dreams of attending school into distant memories of the past, Walter and Ruth were typical people. Walter thought his privileged lifestyle and loving family in New York City were all he could ever expect from life. Ruth, daughter of struggling farmers in the prejudice state of Alabama, had always hoped there was more to her life than "offing" chickens and sneaking books to read.

When Walter plays the unsuspecting hero to a girl with hair that can defy gravity and skin the color of copper. He finds himself in emotional realms he's never explored before, while Ruth realizes she's found the one person she can trust with her life.

When she's given another shot at life by the six foot New Yorker who saves her, the walls she's built up slowly begin to chip away. Together, they embark on an adventure, but their differences threaten to tear them apart.
