Amber Hood and her possessing spirit partner, part-time Succubus and marriage broker Samantha Gurnard, find themselves trapped by a misguidedly murderous Dryad as they drive home from a housewarming, late one winter's night. Clothing fine for a Friday night out in the city is dangerously under-dressed for a freezing Warwickshire woodland in January; Amber must use her wits to free herself before hypothermia sets in and Samantha is forced to hitchhike home with the coroner. After dying in an air raid in 1916, very ex-teacher Samantha Gurnard found that death wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Believing it her destiny, she began Britain's only psychic marriage bureau, possessing unknowing 'clients', chosen from those who move into her apartment, and 'helping' them meet Mr. Right with a very hands-on approach. Amber Hood, high-strung with intelligence to match, looked like an easy prospect to matchmake, until the self-styled succubus and her latest charge were compelled to join forces to fight for their combined existence; now they work together, spectre and inspector, for Her Majesty's Department of Spiritual Affairs, a covert department defending the British Isles from five thousand years of its supernatural history.

Curse AU ______________________________________ In 1668, in the cursed colonial town of Greyhaven, two girls, Amaris (Amber) and Tarinne (Tara), who fall in love in secret, their bond is a dangerous act in a world ruled by rigid religion and fear. When a sudden plague descends, causing crops to rot, animals to die, and villagers to turn on each other in madness. The town turns to blame. They call it divine punishment for hidden sin. Amaris, born into a bloodline rumored to be cursed, becomes the perfect scapegoat. But what the villagers call a curse is really a natural plague/fungi, bacteria, and fear, mistaken for witchcraft. When Tarinne dies and Amaris is cast out, something unnatural takes hold. Amaris stops aging, left frozen in her teen body while the world moves on without her. Tarinne is reincarnated again and again, living a new life in every generation, never remembering the love they once shared. Now it's 2022. Amber still looks seventeen, still wanders from town to town, still waits. She's enrolled in high school once again, hiding in plain sight. And Tara? She's just another teenager in a sleepy town built near the ruins of old Greyhaven. Until a history lesson on colonial witch trials stirs something deep inside her. Then she overhears Amber, alone, muttering about curses, plague, and a name that shouldn't mean anything to her: Tarinne. Tara doesn't remember. But Amber never forgot. As strange coincidences begin to mount, Tara starts to dig deeper into the curse, the plague, and the girl who stares at her like she's centuries lost. This time, the truth might surface. And with it, a way to finally end the curse.
