Amber Hood and her possessing spirit partner, part-time Succubus and marriage broker Samantha Gurnard, find themselves trapped by a misguidedly murderous Dryad as they drive home from a housewarming, late one winter's night.

Clothing fine for a Friday night out in the city is dangerously under-dressed for a freezing Warwickshire woodland in January; Amber must use her wits to free herself before hypothermia sets in and Samantha is forced to hitchhike home with the coroner.

After dying in an air raid in 1916, very ex-teacher Samantha Gurnard found that death wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Believing it her destiny, she began Britain's only psychic marriage bureau, possessing unknowing 'clients', chosen from those who move into her apartment, and 'helping' them meet Mr. Right with a very hands-on approach.
Amber Hood, high-strung with intelligence to match, looked like an easy prospect to matchmake, until the self-styled succubus and her latest charge were compelled to join forces to fight for their combined existence; now they work together, spectre and inspector, for Her Majesty's Department of Spiritual Affairs, a covert department defending the British Isles from five thousand years of its supernatural history.

Sometimes fate brings you exactly what you need before you even realize it. *** Brigid Kelly has lost everything and no amount of spells or wishes stopped it. After her Gran fell ill and passed away, Brigid wasn't able to keep her grandmother's metaphysical shop going. With everything crashing down around her, Brigid buys a one-way ticket to the land of her ancestors, hoping to find solace in the old cabin where her Gran grew up. Ireland is everything she was always told it was and then some. As she sorts out the slowly declining house in the woods, she's thrust into the path of handsome Torin Boyle by circumstance. The walls she's built up around her heart are slowly chipped away as Torin reveals pieces of himself as well, opening not only his home but his heart too. Torin Boyle has spent the last thirty-odd years living in the North of Ireland, running through the rolling hills with his friends. As a pack of wolf Shifters in a country that has no natural wolves, Torin has learned to keep a tap on his inner emotions to protect those he loves. But his homeland is dying; small patches of forest turning brown and dry. When a witch appears on his family's land out of nowhere, he's concerned that the witch is to cause for what's been happening to the land. He never expected to feel pulled into her orbit so completely. Brigid's idyllic life comes to a halt when Torin's father falls ill, closely followed by other members of the Shifter's family. The land around them - the very land where Brigid's ancestors lived - is dying. If Brigid and Torin can't figure out how to fix it, she might not be the only one losing those she loves. **Trigger Warnings - mentions of hospitals and death/cancer; loosing loved ones**

Where Lost Things Dwell: Night Creatures Book Two by ALMcGurk
16 parts Ongoing Mature
After five years hunting down the vampires who had killed her family, living alone, outside society, Kalyna had finally found a home. She had signed up as a trainee with the Occult Task Force, a cross-species military branch where supernaturals and humans fought together against the darkest forces threatening this and every world in existence. Not only that, but she'd finally put her trust in someone; the amber and honey-eyed Staff Sergeant Dunstan Eorl, the vampire who'd held her together when no one else could. Her first problem...? The sire who'd enslaved Dunstan and tortured him for four hundred years now had her sights on Kalyna, asking that Dunstan trade her freedom for that of his wife; a wife he'd thought had died centuries earlier, but who had actually shared his grim fate. Not only that, but his sire, Laelia, seemed to be working with a cult who had no qualms about sacrificing people to open a 'door' and welcome their Lord. Her second problem? No one knew what or where the door was, who the cult worshipped, or why they needed Kalyna. Maybe the answer to that led back to her strange heritage, which included more supernatural strains than should have been possible, andr which had given her more instinctual magic than anyone could fathom. She hadn't even scratched the surface of what she was, but she feared that by the time she understood where she came from, it might be too late to save herself from the target painted on her back, or from the magnetism that drew misfortune toward her with unerring regularity. She was beginning to feel like a liability. Like perhaps her bad luck would eventually get someone else killed.

Amber Hood faces possession by Samantha, immolation and damnation by fire demon and incarceration by Her Majesty's Department of Spiritual Affairs at their headquarters, The Priory. Fae With Bells On An unplanned attempt to rescue another inmate at the Priory leads Amber Hood and less-than-welcome matchmaker spirit Samantha into a dance-off with phantom morris men in a double-or-quits deal for their souls, and involvement in an attempt to usurp the thrones of the king and queen of the Faerie.
