She leads a lonely life, with plenty of time to think and analyze, though she lacks courage and self-pride. But things are not as they seem. The king keeps bringing home new brides... and within a few weeks, those brides disappear. A new one-nearly Adalie's age-has just been brought to the castle, and Adalie knows the clock for survival has already begun to tick. She hardly has time to figure this out. Will she, before the girl vanishes like the rest?
