Maude LeBeau was 10 years old when the thoughts came into her head. And they didn't go away. She didn't think that she'd live to see her 11th birthday, let alone get her Hogwarts letter. But both those things happened. Although she should have felt some relief from this, her fear only increased, especially when she was sorted into Gryffindor, house of the brave. How could she be brave if she wanted to die?
