Wizarding World: Harry Potter
Maude LeBeau was 10 years old when the thoughts came into her head. And they didn't go away. She didn't think that she'd live to see her 11th birthday, let alone get her Hogwarts letter. But both those things happened. Although she should have felt some relief from this, her fear only increased, especially when she was sorted into Gryffindor, house of the brave. How could she be brave if she wanted to die?

From the moment I received my letter from Hogwarts when I was eleven, I knew then that studying in a school filled with magic and mistery would bring adventures and mischief in my life. But what I didn't know was that in a world full of magic and madness, I'd be in so much danger. Just like now. I was stuck in a chamber hidden in the girls lavatory, Death and I were pressed against a cold, damp wall as the biggest snake I have ever seen slithered its way to us. I was shaking with fear, afraid that if it sensed that I was just in front of it, it would easily sink its humongous fangs at me, poisoning me with immense speed. I wouldn't worry about Death though, because he's immortal and cannot die. Tears were flowing down my eyes mercilessly as the basilisk moved closer. I felt Death's arms around my waist tighten as he pressed us further on the wall even though there wasn't any space left to go further. "Do not breathe" I heard Death say in my mind. I didn't breathe, and I made sure that I didn't make a single sound, yet my heart seems to betray me as it felt like it was exploding in my chest. Can anyone save us from this monstrous snake? ------- Second book from "The Eyes of a Seeker"
