Cole wanted nothing to do with his sister. She was the perfect child, and being the older sibling made that fact worse. She made their father proud, while he was an embarrassment. What he didn't know was that there was a broken and hidden person behind the flawless outside. She had run away to find him, seeking her older brother, and the arms that used to never hesitate to hug her. Now all Mckenzie found was a hardened person who wanted her out of his sight. Siblings are supposed to have each others backs, but things aren't always what they seem.

As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet...
