In a post-apocalyptic society, a species of perfect doll-like humans rule over an imperfect human kind. To get  rid of imperfection, the Dolls implemented a divine educational program that teaches humans kind to abandon their foul ways  for perfect doll like conduct. As a final test, they must prove their perfection by conquering dark and twisted versions of childhood games that each symbolize an imperfect characteristic. When 16-year-old Laelia Roseblade is admitted into this final test, she fears she will lose all the things that make her human. But instead, she finds what truly makes up humanity.
