“A vampire?” I cracked a humorous smile, trying to seem innocent while my heart raced a mile a minute. He couldn’t know. There was no way. Right?
But he was too busy trying to expose me to laugh at Twilight jokes. I swallowed nervously and tried to keep my hands from shaking as he opened his mouth again, about to disclose whatever it was he thought he knew…or really did know. “You…are–”
