It has always been frightening to know that the only thing standing between you tumbling millions of feet to the ground is a skinny wooden slab. It holds up well, but that doesn't mean you don't have to be careful. That simple fact pumps adrenaline into Emmalynne Cargregie's veins, it makes her want to be more dangerous. In a world where everyone else's lives rely on a thin floor made of wood, will Emmalynne's rely on trusting not only the feeble logs holding her up, but trusting herself as well?

Sometimes we find our lifeline but it's not quite what we expect. Jacquie is going through a lot in her own life but she has a promise to keep. Will she break it or will she stay next to Adeline when moments come and test their already unsteady ground? "It's funny how all people see is water coming out of the sky and ruining their day. I don't see rain like that. It's soothing in a way. It falls so gracefully without a care in the world where it lands. It can land in the ocean, but you know what? It will still make a ripple and after it falls into the ocean it will stand with the rest of the drops of water, freshwater and saltwater combining. Does that stop it from shining? No. Why? Because now it joined hands with many others to make one of the most beautiful things in the world. Why can't we be like that raindrop?" She speaks out of her mind. It's not the best analogy and I honestly wouldn't have thought of such a comparison if it wasn't for Adeline. I smile up at her knowing that all she needs me to do is listen.
