It's a story about a boy and a girl. But not any boy or girl you have ever seen, and neither is their story. It may seem a little wonky. It may seem a little crazy. You may wonder why in the world would they have had to meet. But, look at every nook and cranny of this book. Trust me, you won't find the reasons you're looking for.
Because sometimes, it's just pure fate.

Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. Alex, a lonely 17 year old with a heart problem and a lot of anxiety is hated by nearly everyone in his school. It was stupid, he knew that, but his anxiety and depression told him otherwise.
