The world above has been destroyed, and life now exists underwater, but they wont give up on their world as Samael trains his students at Abyss Peaks in hopes of one day defeating Abyzou and taking back the surface. 

Emily has attended Abyss Peaks only once in her life, and she swore never to go back.
