Welcome to 1957, where girl's dresses had to be a certain length, jukeboxes were at every venue, dinners and milkshakes every block, and of course, the struggle for coloured folk to find equality with the whites.

After being brutally attacked down in Texas, Kathleen Jackson and her family decide to flee to New Jersey, where the laws weren't as strict.

During a shift, young and handsome Grayson Dolan walks in with his group, looking for something sweet, but what he found was not something that could be served on a plate.


Will Grayson win over Kathleen heart? Or will he be shamed for loving a black teenage girl?

And he was right. Our ending is that one fucked up movie that no on wants to go see. "SO YOU AREN'T WILLING TO RISK IT ALL!?! I yelled louder as the rain came pouring down. He turned on his heal and stomped twords me pulling me close to him leaveing no space between us. His lips came crashing down on mine making the butterflies in my stomach errupt with pleaseure. He pulled away and sighed as did I. He grabbed my hand and ran his thumb over the knuckle of my thumb over my tattoo thanks to his stupid game of dare or dare. "Look at the perspective of things Vana. You might see a smily face but I don't. I see a sad face. You don't want my happy ending. Trust me." He said and sighed again. "I love you so much Vana." He said and kissed the top of my head and then walked back over to his house. But he didn't really love me. If he did he would be willing to risk it all just like I am. But I am left just like Kyle had suspected. Alone and heart broken in the rain. Because I was always the one willing to risk it all. For him.

Rowan wasn't your typical high school girl, she was most likely the most sarcastic bitch you'll ever find but she has a heart of gold for the ones she loves. Rowan had a troubled past with her father as well as her uncle. Causing her to have extreme anxiety and trust issues. What happens when her father finds Rowan her brother and mom. Will he do worse to her than her uncle or will he try to take Rowan and run. ( violence, strong language) The book has a lot of violence in it like fighting, killing, kidnapping, but also some cringe lovey dovey shit as well. (Editing through out) (I know the first few chapters are kinda whack (I'm sorry I said WhAcK) but I can promise you that the story gets really good. (at least I think so) so if you're reading this right now saying to yourself "I don't know, seems kinda boring" I can guarantee you will like it you just got to get past the first few chapters. Okay, I'm going to let you read this now and stop sounding so desperate (I am) enjoy! <3)
