Thomas and Lisa Carter are two well-known engineers working at the Dr. Bradford Institute of Technology. One of their new experiments included bringing the dead to life by implanting a microchip inside the brain. After a few trial and error, they have successfully brought back a once deceased rodent back to life. Unfortunately, Lisa died from a car crash. Without a second thought, Thomas begins to implant a microchip inside her brain. His coworkers have warned him that just because it worked on animal, doesn't mean that it would also have the same effect on a human. It was a success at first, that is until Lisa started acting strange...

Faced with a difficult decision, he must either let Lisa live and face the consequence, or kill her to end it all. Its now all up to him to decide.

In the near future, most work has been relegated to machines and people are content to spend their time immersed in virtual reality, something they cannot get enough of. Thomas Walker, an ex-racecar driver who blames the hidden algorithms that run society for losing everything that is important to him, finds himself at the center of a string of bizarre vehicular attacks and becomes assured that someone is out to get him. Meanwhile, Lucas Bennett, an anxiety-ridden software engineer, is contracted by the leading artificial intelligence corporation in the US to decipher the inner workings of their flagship AI that have become incomprehensible even to themselves, a job that he is very invested in since he considers technology the solution to his personal as well as mankind's timeless problems. Unknown to the public at large, the CEO of the company is bent on unleashing the full capabilities of that AI to handle every single aspect of society and individual lives. When all hell breaks loose, the two men and those close to them team up to survive and fight back against the horde of vehicular attackers and the Intelligence behind them while also clashing together over their views: is artificial intelligence a way to humanity's salvation or doom? Betrayal abounds, nothing is as it seems and the traffic is a real killer. The story is complete and I will be uploading 1 chapter around every Friday. *COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.

An out-of-solar system colony project gone wrong meant Jessie English was stuck doing most of the work assigned to the deceased science crew. Sticking to his morals meant being left for dead by those in charge. By chance, he meets Luc, a member of the planet's sentient avian humanoid species. All Jessie wants to do now is live out the rest of his days with him, and hopefully get past the language barrier that prevents him from communicating the feelings of love he hopes are mutual. Unfortunately, sightings of a human and an alien together are more interesting to the colony's higher-ups than one would hope. *** Born the runt of his clutch, Luc had never held anyone so small, so soft... He was all Jessie had, so he would do everything to shield him from others of his kind, and by extension, protect the whole human race. -------- AVIAN has been COMPLETED on the writer's end (30 chapters + five bonus stories) and is on a bi-weekly upload schedule.
