Thomas and Lisa Carter are two well-known engineers working at the Dr. Bradford Institute of Technology. One of their new experiments included bringing the dead to life by implanting a microchip inside the brain. After a few trial and error, they have successfully brought back a once deceased rodent back to life. Unfortunately, Lisa died from a car crash. Without a second thought, Thomas begins to implant a microchip inside her brain. His coworkers have warned him that just because it worked on animal, doesn't mean that it would also have the same effect on a human. It was a success at first, that is until Lisa started acting strange...

Faced with a difficult decision, he must either let Lisa live and face the consequence, or kill her to end it all. Its now all up to him to decide.

I put the camera down for a moment, throwing on a type of bullet proof vest over my body and clipping the straps closed. I felt stiff, a bit squeezed and feeling a little heavy but I could manage. I'll be in there for only a minute, then I'll be out and I can leave! I'm almost done, just... a few more pictures! I clicked the button and stepped inside. I- A scream burst through my throat and erupted from my mouth with a huge amount of force, my eyes widening and tears forming as I stared at containers upon containers that stretched tall, attached to their ceiling. All of them were empty, the only thing around was red. Most likely, blood. It was splattered everywhere, on the containers, on the floor, on the walls. I felt it dripping onto the back of my neck from the ceiling, the cold liquid trickling down my neck. I shivered. W-What's going on...?? My mind was everywhere, I couldn't think! I was lost, I was scared, I didn't know where to go! I heard clicking sounds, scratching sounds that came from the back of the room. Though, for some reason I didn't run away. I felt scared out of my mind, yet I didn't react. Something felt like it was pulling me closer to it, like a magnetic force. I felt myself walking towards it. Closer and closer till I stopped at a tank that wasn't empty. And I stared upon someone who was inside the container. --- Zachary is just average, nothing about him that could ever appease others. He's just a face in the crowd, nobody important. He may seem average, but he has a secret, one that everyone knows except for him. It's that his father is a scientist, a 'monster' is what all of them say. But Zachary didn't believe them, he loved his father, he was amazing with everything he did! And his father wouldn't ever lie to him, right? Cover -> TheMidnightEclipse13

*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.
