There is a prophecy of a girl with angel wings that will save Lucius Malfoy from a curse the Dark Lord placed upon his lost soul. If found, she needs to fall in love with him in order to break the death sentence tainting the pureblood's wrist. 

Draco Malfoy's own curse will stand in the way, his changed appearance and growing desires to protect Hermione Granger a receipe for chaos when he falls in love with her.
