The city of Casper is a bustling town on the shore of the largest lake in the world. Lindy is the daughter of a baker with a painful past and dark secret. Hadwin is the crown prince of Casper with a forbidden love hiding the hole left behind by another. Adrian is a vengeful prince set on destroying the dragon responsible for his mother's death.

All Lindy has ever wanted is peace, but one fateful night she is forced to reveal her true colors. Adrian, hearing rumors of a dragon the color of midnight, travels to Casper City, where Hadwin's careful lies begin to unravel to reveal his affection for the enemy. Crushed and defeated, Hadwin flees his father and home in time to meet Lindy, a girl he never thought he'd see again.
With Adrian on a warpath and Hadwin in hiding, the city boils to a breaking point. Can Lindy save herself from someone she used to love? Or will darkness consume them all?

Cries of a Wounded Soul

20 parts Complete

**** Top Pick, 2023 Amby Awards **** **** HighFantasy Book of the Month, June 2023 **** To save the world, Mage Aria sacrificed herself, becoming trapped with the personification of Darkness within an impenetrable tomb of rock and magic. But she had not realized how much of a hell that would be. Dreams of deep despair haunted Tomas, a blacksmith with no apparent magic, where a wounded soul cried out from her torment, begging for mercy. Heartbroken for the dreamer, he sets out on an uncertain quest to free her. But there were those in power who did not want the dreamer freed, lest it also released the Darkness. Further, the link between Tomas and the dreamer was a kind of Darkness itself, one that would make him a fugitive in his own land.
