When The Night Falls

Is it just my mind,
Or a portal to a new world?
It seems like an endless spiral
Up in my head gets twirled.
I dream of fairies in faraway lands,
Or seashells lying on beaches of sand.
Maybe it's a secret haven
Where all my thoughts can firmly stand.
I have galaxies behind my eyes,
They speak of fire, and of ice.
My head seems to burst with unspoken words,
Threatening to come out of every precipice.
My thoughts are diamonds the rank of a Marquis,
And they are now begging to be set free,
For my mind is a meteor
Unbound by gravity.✨
