Being a genius isn't hard. Or at least, not for Veronica Boniadi. Numbers and words, science and history - knowing it all is like breathing for Veronica. Though it's a breath she's been holding in from the rest of the world. To her classmates she's a burnout loser with no friends. To her struggling family she's the only one able to help them get through the day. Throughout all of high school, Veronica's genius is never really shown. That is, until the school's principal feels the need to pair her up with a tutor.

Jay, the top student in senior year - haughty and arrogant, and everything Veronica despises - is given the task of making sure Veronica doesn't fail the midterms and sink the school's overall score below the national average. Forced to do actual school work for the first time in her life, Veronica tries to downplay her intellect as much as possible. She doesn't want the attention, the distraction, or any responsibility that might take her away from supporting her sick family.

But fooling Jay turns out to be much harder than she thought.

Fourteen-year-old Edison Green may be a genius, but he doesn't have a clue about what to do on his first day of high school. After being homeschooled until age 9 and then starting college courses, Edison doesn't have any experience with kids his own age. His parents believe he has a rare gift and they don't want him to be distracted by the menial problems of teenagers; instead, they want him to focus on his research project, which could be the next big breakthrough in physics. Edison loves physics more than anything, but loneliness and curiosity about life outside his world cause him to rebel. He goes on strike, refusing to continue his studies until his parents agree to let him go to high school for one year. Edison isn't worried about high school being hard--after all, he's been invited to join Mensa International--an exclusive club for the top 2% of the world's smartest people. But he finds out quickly that it takes more than a high IQ to traverse the social events and activities at Southton High School. During an unfortunate encounter with the school's most popular athlete, Edison meets Christina Blakely, who saves him from getting pummeled on his first day of school. She is the exact opposite of him in every way. Christina is a soccer phenom who doesn't have time to be friends with lowly freshmen. She's got problems of her own, including a low GPA, which could prevent her from getting a college scholarship. Can Christina achieve the impossible-the highest GPA she's ever had--and earn her scholarship? And can Edison prove to his parents and everyone else-including Ashley Murray, the most beautiful girl he's ever seen-that he can do more than solve difficult math problems? Can he really change the world with his research project, win Ashley's heart and survive high school?

"Be a good boy, Ares, and just follow my lead." His chest rose up rapidly, taking his hands into mine and placing them on my waist. Feeling him begin to grow hard and the pool of wetness between my legs ached my soul. I needed him now. A piece of his hair fell on his forehead, his thumbs moved in circular motion as I rocked my hips back and forth, holding onto his shoulders for support. I unbuttoned his shirt, revealing more of his toned chest; I was practically salivating at this sight. It was obvious that he was going to the gym, even just by looking at his arms you could tell. This man was pure perfection, and I was pure seduction. "W-we shouldn't be doing this," his voice was breathless and ragged. My back arched because of the growing sensation I was feeling; he dipped his head between my neck, placing light kisses. I fist his hair as my jaw drops; my panties are drenched. "We should, we had a deal." _____ Violet Gray was a sophomore in college and failing her classes. With her growing popularity due to her looks and partying every night, Violet had completely forgotten the true reason for being in school. She had two options: get kicked out of college or find a tutor. Violet didn't want either; she was embarrassed to be kicked out and embarrassed to be tutored. She didn't want people to think she was stupid. So she took the tutoring option and kept it well hidden. Ares Meadows was the epitome of smart and talented; his grades were all straight A's. He didn't have time to party nor focus solely on his looks and popularity. Ares was a nerd with even more nerdy friends, but the way he looked distracted everyone from the fact that he was a nerd. But nobody wants an inexperienced man.

Girls fawn over him. Well, who wouldn't? He's the star soccer player, after all. With the looks no less than a model, he has no problem maintaining his status on the social ladder. He maintains a cool aura around him all the time. They both go to Gradient High, a school that is divided into two social groups: the popular ones and the nerds. The popular ones are the wealthy snobs and the nerds are the ones who practically are their slaves. At Gradient High, these two groups can never get along! Like Ever! But who knew that the most popular guy and the nerd would actually be best friends? That's right! Alyssa and Aaron have been best friends since their diaper days. But at school, they are forced not to acknowledge each other's presence because if they did, Aaron's reputation might suffer and Alyssa may be subjected to something she hates the most: attention.
