The thought ran through Pete's mind quicker than the raindrops falling from the broken sky. He really did it this time,  he swore that he would help Billy but not only did he fail to do that, it had costed Billy an arm and a leg, almost literally. Billy had lost his eye and his hand thanks to him.  Gripping the handles of his motorcycle, Pete pushed the thought away, driving away from the guilt that still lives in his mind. What had he put poor Billy through?
