Scars Upon My Soul

Hazlynn Shiagila was never born a normal child. Throughout school, hanging out with her friend, and having family time, there was always something that she felt was off about her. As if she didn't quite fit in. As if she wasn't quite right.

The world is about to end. Its governments are failing, its people are afraid, and the self-proclaimed Emperor Olc Thyrne has now begun to terrorise the streets. No one is safe. And they are searching for something. Something powerful. Something that could bring more power to the Emperor until there is no one left, but those pesky bugs beneath his feet. This powerful something is hidden so well inside one human body, that he has massacred thousands of bodies to find it. He has now found Hazlynn. And he thinks that he has finally found the One; she is brought into the depths of her home city, now called Outpost 23, where the Emperor's 'Blood Watch' begin their search. What they find is a girl that can undertake all of their torturings, but is not showing the signs they need.

When Hazlynn escapes the Enclave, with the help of an old ally she did not know she had, eighteen months later, what she finds is ruin. She finds a world so changed that she doesn't know where she is. And she finds a battle she needs to fight in, to protect what is left of her home.

Will Hazlynn be able to find allies in a place so different? Will she be able to battle through her scars, ones that may not be seen, but felt? Will she find a way through this new foreign world, and defeat the enemies she has no motivation to defeat, before it's too late?

Or will her scars reopen and lead her, and the world as she knows it, to its knees?
