Pain Is in the Mind

Mind control. It can be very beneficial, or it can be very destructive. But when it comes to Lorelei, she isn't sure how to use it. She was taught as a child to use it for her own self defense, no matter how it affected anyone else. But as she meets more and more people with powers such as hers (a.k.a., the Avengers), it confuses her why they would ever use it to help other, boring humans, when they could just save themselves from any danger. She tries to run away from the complicated life she's lived, but some people want their revenge for what she's done before they'll let her go - if they ever do.
