"Hollow Born, people born without a soul. Sought after by both heaven and hell.

At the time of their death, they transform into a creature of either heaven or hell. The circumstances of their death often dictate this."

-----
She screams within her diving mask as it approaches, she can see its face clearly now, it's laughing at her fear.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

Her pleas are pathetic and it just grins at her.

"Fall silent and DROWN!"

-Completed- Ranked #10 in Divisons on 6/10/2019 When I was younger my mother would tell me stories, and not stories about true loves kiss or fairy godmothers; no, unlike most parents my mother was honest, she didn't lie to her children. It was one of the many things that I loved about her and one of the many things I hated. For years every night, I would beg for her to let the princess live and let the dragon die but she never listened. I'm glad she didn't, she was preparing me. Preparing me for this moment because you see though the seven dwarves and flying boys didn't exist in the real world there was one thing that each story got right, one thing that wasn't just a tale... the monsters. They were everywhere even when you couldn't see them, you felt them. The feeling of someone staring you down, the chills on the back of your neck, those weren't coincidences or cold gusts of wind. Those were us. They were happening and you ignored them. Why do you think when you turned the light off in one room you race to another where it's still on? Why you make sure to cover your feet with the blankets at night? Or why you pull back the shower curtains when you're taking a shit because you fear that someday someone might actually be standing behind them? Waiting for you. Waiting for you to stop noticing, caring, trying. This is not just your fear, well part of it is, but the other parts are because you remember. You remember experiencing this in some way, we just got you to forget. Because everyone forgets about us eventually. I mean it's pretty obvious what we are isn't it? Vampires, demons, bloodsuckers; god, I hated the word. The problem was we weren't the only monsters that shared this place with you. There were many more of us; werewolves, skinwalkers, witches, golems. We all existed, we all just knew how to exist. Monsters have been around before we even knew how to tell their stories.

[COMPLETED]✔ The Blood Magic Series |Book 8| 2017 Fiction Award Winner for Best Series ⁃⁃⁃❖⁃⁃⁃ Eris paid the ultimate price. Her unconditional love for Maverick set in motion her death and the reunion of Maverick and his family. Maverick's actions, the brutal murder of the Luna Willow followed by the death of Alpha Declan of the Nightshade Pack, put a target on his back. These actions did not go unnoticed by the apparent Alpha King, wanting the death of Maverick as payment. King Lucca of the vampires, refused to kill his son, the hate he once harbored toward him had diminished the moment Zak connected to Lucca's coven. With this refusal, the werewolves have declared war on the vampires, hunters choosing their sides while humans hid in fear once again. With Eris' death, Maverick used every ounce of his control to look toward the future with optimism. The demonologist coven leader, Rook has stated he can bring Eris back. The only way this is possible was for the fact Eris had given a fragment of her soul to Maverick, binding them together...forever. With hope in his sights, the price of this dark magic is Eris' mortality along with death having claimed her memories. Will she trust in Maverick? Will she grow to understand him once again? Or will she run in fear, as to how could a pureblood vampire ever be able to live a life with a human as his bite carries a death sentence in itself to the vast majority of humans? ⁃⁃⁃❖⁃⁃⁃ Highest Ranking #10 in Vampire Published on Amazon under K. "A short yelp escaped her as she slipped off the edge with a fist full of flowers. I shrieked her name and dove off after her. I grabbed her, hugging her close to me. "What the hell are you doing, Decoda! We're going to die!" She shrieked. "Come on, come on!" I chanted, willing my wings into existance. Fire surrounded me and I opened my wings, appearing almost stationary in mid air only about 20 meters from the water. Before I could move them, a horrid shot of pain ripped through my wing as I fealt it tear. I shrieked and whirled around as my wings deteriorated and hit the water first. A stabbing pain in my back hit me first, then another one in the back of my head, causing my vision to black out."
