Bridget Martin is a junior at Salem High, the high school of the small town of Salem, Massachusetts. A town full of a dark past and even darker secrets. Salem High is no exception.
Bridget is in the drama class at her school, and auditions for this year's production, Hansel and Gretel. After not getting the part she wanted, strange occurrences start happening, like threatening notes in her locker and mysterious black feathers that leak blood. Bridget begins to suspect that it is someone in the cast pulling pranks on her, and partners together with her best friend, Henry, to figure out who could be behind the happenings.
They soon learn that something much darker could be at play, since, Salem is a city full of history containing witchcraft. After all, never go hunting for witches, for they might just hunt you.
When Jane Madarang's neighbor Natalie kills herself and leaves behind cryptic instructions, it's up to Jane and her classmates to unearth deadly secrets.
