Ann and Renee,are best friends at Silver Lake middle school,an all girls school, named for the silver lake in front of the school, everything is normal for everyone. When the girls meet the neighboring all boys school, A boy, Thomas, has been to Juvie and one time to Jail, and he hasn't changed. Everything goes wrong when after school, when Ann and Renee get locked in the school with Thomas. And even worse, over the weekend. They have to survive 48 hours with Thomas and his friend who has also been to Juvie named Alex.
