Everybody thinks that once the monsters are defeated, the hero and the heroine ride into the sunset, everything goes back to normal and it is normal. We rejoice as the darkness seems to vanish and everything lights up, we head back home to clink glasses with our friends. What we fail to notice are demons that are uncovered as the darkness disappears, the sleepless nights and nightmares of the warrior goes through, the tears shed by fearless fighters as they lower their brother into graves.
We fail to notice the demons that are created within us, the ones we hide with fake smiles and sarcastic comments, because once a man loses all his masks, he is not what people want him to be or the person that everyone likes. And when the people we fought for shun us, we truly begin to evaluate, Did I fight for the right side?

His longing for justice is growing and the more bitter he becomes, the more it sinks in that without Annabeth, he has nothing left to fight for. But then again, there's nothing holding him back.
