That is not the case for 18 yr. old Makenzie Dover. She is used to moving around every time her mother gets her heart broken, which is often. Makenzie manages to fly under the radar at all of her old schools because she is not in one place long enough to experience what being a teenager is supposed to be like. Makenzie and her mom move to Texas halfway through her Senior year, and this new place is like nothing she has ever experienced before. No place she had ever been could have prepared her for what Texas had to offer. She meets a girl, Kaylee, who gives her no choice but to be her friend. With Kaylee comes a group of people that will stick their neck out for you and expect nothing in return, for one sexy blue eyed bad boy in the group who wants more than Mak is ready to offer. Ayden Hart is the guy all the girls want and all the guy's want to be. When he sets his sights on Makenzie, will he lose his player ways, or will he ruin the best thing that has ever happened to him? When both of their pasts come back to haunt them, they find more obstacles in their road to forever they could have ever thought possible. Can they survive the secrets, or is love just not enough to hold them together?
