Brooke Harris is the smartest girl in California. Many would even say that she's the most beautiful. She is the daughter of a man who creates dangerous weapons for the government. When she signs up to tutor failing students, she doesn't expect (though she's not entirely surprised) to be tutoring the class clown of Redwood High, Riley Kramer. But, during one of their tutoring sessions, a school shooting occurs. Their target is clear. Brooke. Riley gets her out of the area safely, but reveals himself to be an agent of a branch of the government called CORE (Covert Operations for Recovery and Entry). Brooke's life is turned upside down when Riley drags her into the shadow war between CORE and a group calling themselves Armageddon. Brooke's never done anything wrong, so why does Armageddon's psychotic leader, Daman, want Brooke dead?
