Alette is a girl with a dysfunctional family. Her parents are divorced and she is forced to move away from half of her family. And she hates it. Not only does her new house feel like it's going to fall apart, but so does her life. She doesn't fit in at school, she misses her family, and there is no end in sight. She can honestly say that she hates her life. That is, until she meets a specific man. He will change her life for the worse or for the better -- that is yet to be decided. Alette is sent back in time to fulfill a prophecy. She finds herself in London in the year 1867. She is confused beyond belief, but her family is finally whole again. In London, she discovers an alternate world that exists right under everyone's noses. The people call it Celeste. The Celestial Kingdom. Or the City in the Sky. And that's where her prophecy takes place. The girl who can defy Time.
