Darla Pennington, is a lot of things. She is a teenager. She is a witch. She also just so happens to be one of the most powerful witches ever born, fated to bring peace... or start a war. 

However, though she is powerful,  and she knows that well enough, she does not know that she is one of the most powerful in creation. She also doesn't know that her routine filled life is about to be jostled by the Accident, a series of events involving a girl and a council meeting, and her own kidnapping. She also doesn't know where she put her phone. There are a lot of things she doesn't know. 

But she is about to be tested. She is about to be broken. And maybe, possibly, she will be defined in each shard that she is made of.
