Promises of the Wicked

My parents and I departed when I was 7. They never told me the reason for why we were to be separated. But I never saw them again. The only thing I had left from them was a letter my mother had given to me to keep and open on my 18th birthday. They made me change my name to Aura and to never converse or tell this strange red eyed man my true identity. Otherwise, I'd be in danger. That was all. I was 17 when I met the man I was warned about. He came into my store looking for me, but I lied to him like my parents had told me to. He left me alone for a year. But after I turned 18, he kidnapped me and locked me away behind bars for 8 months before letting me out. I learned he was a cruel and cold man. He looked about 20. But I knew he wasn't. Because he was not human. This is my story. The story of my end. Now, I'm in hell.
