Looking in a Different Direction

This is the story of a normal teenage girl who lived with her single mother in NYC. Amber Williams and her mother lived a life of serenity on 68th Street. Amber was popular in school and her mother's job paid her over $100K a year. It seemed as if nothing could go wrong...until Amber's mother was involved in a perilous accident on her way to work. In the morning of another normal school day, Amber receives a call that her mother is indeed in the hospital and is fighting for her life. Upon her mother's demise, Amber has no other choice but to live with her stepfather, an alcoholic living in the poorest area of Jersey City. What will happen to Amber?
