Over the years, technology took over the world.
First it started with people shoving their phones into their faces, they began to slowly lose interest in others, they lost manners, they became rude. Then the government completely took over.
In 2043, they came up with a chip that makes everyone happy, when someone dies they lose memory of that person completely. No one questions anything. Over the years the chip started to glitch, causing the human brain to go back to the way it use to be. See the chip kills everything in the brain except happiness. So technically we are not living, if they were to take the chip out, we would die.
