After a bad break up, Teri Polo decides to go through with a 3 month long vacation through Europe she had planned with her ex-boyfriend.   Leaving behind two kids who she has raised for most of their lives, and are now mostly adults, she feels like she needs this to find herself.  

Sherri Saum is in a similar situation.  Married to the same man for over 20 years, and raising 10 year old twin boys she just feels like this is not the life she was meant to live.  And as Teri's best friend she feels it is her obligation to go with her on this journey.

But as they discover Europe they also discover who they are, and why they are so unhappy in the lives they have led until they met each other.
