Little Drummer Boy
It's amazing how one little choice can change a life. Not just for you, but for everyone around you. I knew that our family welcoming in a foster child would change things, but I never imagined how much. I never imagined the burden my new brother carried. But he didn't have to carry that weight on his own any longer. Sometimes family wasn't linked by blood. Sometimes a brother comes when you least expect it. Sometimes adventure comes when you step out by faith. Sometimes family is all you have Sometimes love leads to pain. But I'd embrace the pain all over again for him. Because really, we were all that he had.Complete

A Beautiful Mess.
We never notice something is missing until it's gone. We never know about the void until we know what was supposed to fill it. We never know the magnitude of the impact until it's felt. We never have regrets until we make mistakes. We never see rainbows unless there was a storm. We can never make peace without there being a conflict first. It might all sound bad at first but keep in mind that there's always good where there's bad. There's always truth where there's lies. Theres always life where there's death. And theres always love where there's hate. Put this all together and you have A Beautiful Mess...Complete

A Song of Us
I look through the window and smile at home. Lianne studies the lights sparkling beneath us, each one holding the lives of people trying to create stories of their own. If only they could hear ours. I wonder who would believe everything we have experienced. I wonder whether anyone could understand what it felt like to live it. I wonder whether we will ever be able to tell the story the way it deserves to be told.Complete

The IT Couple
My life was normal. I was a good sister, daughter, and stayed to myself. But if you were to tell me that I would have been hurt by the people I love the most, loved by the person I hate the most, and tormented by the memories around me... I would have laughed in your face. But change is one hell of a bitch. And it takes one person to make that change, that very drastic change, worth while. The question is... who is that person? You tell me.Complete
