Raylee Kingsley is a shyer person than most, only talks when talked to unless you are her best friends Grayson and Tyler and Marie-Anne Johnson or are family in her home. She is a fast runner and has never had the courage to try out. Her mom and dad died in a plane crash two days before school starts this year and is sent to live with her 28-year-old brother and his wife in California. She is determined to be not as shy but is also highly depressed.

Jamison Anderson is a "player/bad boy" or that is the reputation he was given. He is living in California with only two friends, Mason Raves, and Ryder Harrison, he is a kick-ass soccer player and is the star of the school. This year his sister is nagging him to quite his player ways and find a girl he can say I love you to. She says all he has to do is find a girl that peeks his interest and make small talk and ask on small dates until he is sure that is the right one.he didn't think any of them are intreasting well, not til Raylee Kingsley came into the picture.
