"I Held The Universe In My Hands" is about the 21st generation and our faults, achievements, and small but paramount moments in our lives.

A strange man from the older era converses to someone regarding humanity and its spirit despite the age of technology. An astronaut sets his course of destination to a nearby planet where he will give humanity hope to once again be a part of life itself. These tales of loneliness, isolation, longing, grief; bittersweet love and hope; perseverance and care are like feelings buried beneath the ocean of tears and of water lapping across the shoreline in the quietness of the setting sun soon turning into night that reveals the darkness that we hide within ourselves. You were always an introvert even if your family was outgoing so during the break from online school due to bullying almost having you trying to make you take your own life, your parents thought it would be good to let you have some fun. A family camping trip with your parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents sounds fun but you don't like crowds, loud noises, or doing crazy things. You liked it quiet indoors with books, movies, video games, or playing by yourself outside away from other kids. Feeling unheard, you sneak off into the woods to sulk but everything changes when you see something fall from the sky and land just by the lake then you go to find... a weird-looking pink watch that doesn't even tell time. Not know, it does so much more... Say hello to your new friends.

Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other. We don't eat with each other. We don't ACKNOWLEDGE each other. This all happened after my 'Mother' killed herself. My father blames me. This is my story about how I learned to not count on anyone else but myself. I'm broken. I'm used. No one can fix me. But when the New Boy in town tries to fix me, everything will change. Good change or Bad change, I don't know. Only time will tell. I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them. This wasn't supposed to become personal, but it did.
