After he made a mistake that got his parents to disappear, Alwenn has lived his life in guilt. Taken in by Queen Ren of On'svalor in a luxurious castle, with her spoiled brat of a son, prince Saka, an elf about his age, Alwenn can't help but want to turn back time and have his loved ones in his life again. But when he finds out about Saka's curse, the only thing able to fix it being the Aquamarine of Nalyreth, queen Ruelle of his home-kingdom, Alma'thalor, offers to make a pact: in exchange of the precious stone, she'll bring his parents back to life. Though Alwenn is convinced that him and Saka are nothing alike, annoyed by his random travel songs and clumsiness, he finds out that the prince isn't as careless as he thought and actually worries about his future as a good king to his people. Slowly, he figures that he wouldn't bare to part with that bright smile of his. So now he'll have to make the hardest decision of his life: betray him in exchange for his loved ones, or overcome his fear of letting go of the past.
