"Don't fight the Syndrome."
Steven always knew that the amulet he had found with his friend Trevor was trouble. After finding it, they had been confronted by a dangerous person- a ghost that insisted on being called 'Winnie'. And what he did to their lives was horrible.
In the name of explaining their purpose, Winnie gave the two of them a dangerous disease known as Syndrome W, or simply the Syndrome. When the two teenagers figured out the terrible things it made them do, Steven and Trevor set out on a journey in the Wales Royal Asylum to find the exact cause of their problem and put it to an end.
An unusual journey follows as the two encounter the monsters of the dark, tackle Winnie's attempts to win them over on his side, learn more and more about his strange past from clues and find themselves plunged into a scary master plan. From surviving the Asylum to awakening the dead, from meeting Satanists to fighting for Gods, surprises lie at every corner. And there is a crazy doctor under Winnie, who holds the secret about the Syndrome, but was known for trying deadly experiments on his patients.
But in the end, is it Winnie who wins over them because of their Syndrome or is it Steven and Trevor that defeat Weenie with his own Syndrome?
