Just a year and a half ago, you worked as a military nurse in one of the top hospitals in London. By day, you tended wounded and ill, by night you spent hours upon hours studying.

You were a bargain as an employee: you went to college, you speak French, English, and German, and you're sharper than a bayonet.

Perhaps that is why the British spy agency, known as the Special Operations Executives, were quick to ask you to join their ranks when the war heated up.

You spent months training, learning how to withstand torture. You knew the workings of the military, coming from a long line of pilots and soldiers, so learning came easily to you. Now, by day you trained until your knuckles bled and your limbs shook, by night you studied case after case, looking into dead-end leads to hopefully find your breakthrough case.

Now, you are asked to go to the frontlines and get firsthand experience. Nothing beats seeing the real war. It's one thing to read about the Nazis in newspapers and through whispers, but another to see them up close.

Seven weeks after the invasion of Normandy, you are sent to rendezvous and assist American troops while you look for a lead on a top secret case.

This trip will either make you or break you. Can you show the world that you have what it takes, or will you not be able to carry through when a twist of fate sends your career spiralling downwards?

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. Avaline Baker is a young woman on a camping trip with friends when she decides to go into a museum that will change her life forever. Somehow transported into the future, Ava finds herself at the barrel tip of Nazi German soldier. Transported to their camp as prisoner, Ava is lost and confused as to what, where, and who she is with...the how part is the most antagonizing. Shortly after being saved by two American men, Ava discovers she's been placed at the center of World War Two. Surrounded by warfare and American men who have strict mindsets about women in the the 1940's, the 21-year-old feels like she has no hope of surviving. To even have a chance, Ava has to prove that just because she's a woman, doesn't mean she isn't capable of fighting to survive like the rest of them. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own. Hopefully, with careful and calculating steps, Ava will survive the blistering cold winters, the first-hand experience of a war, and developing a difficult bond with the men of 1st Platoon. --•--•--•-- This is a work of fan-fiction, which means I don't own practically anything. Except for Aveline Baker and some scenes. Will be based off of/follow the campaign. This work has content pertaining to difficult aspects of WW2 including blood and gore; swearing/harsh language; sexual/crude comments and actions; German POW camps; etc. Please DO NOT READ if you aren't comfortable or have too strong opinions on things related to WW2. It's a fictional story and, thus, should be treated like it. On flip side, there will humor. Especially from Zussman- we all like him. And don't forget moments from hardass Pierson...those will get interesting too. ;) ~Started on September 1st, 2018~ ~Finished September 1st, 2019~

*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.
