Just a year and a half ago, you worked as a military nurse in one of the top hospitals in London. By day, you tended wounded and ill, by night you spent hours upon hours studying.

You were a bargain as an employee: you went to college, you speak French, English, and German, and you're sharper than a bayonet.

Perhaps that is why the British spy agency, known as the Special Operations Executives, were quick to ask you to join their ranks when the war heated up.

You spent months training, learning how to withstand torture. You knew the workings of the military, coming from a long line of pilots and soldiers, so learning came easily to you. Now, by day you trained until your knuckles bled and your limbs shook, by night you studied case after case, looking into dead-end leads to hopefully find your breakthrough case.

Now, you are asked to go to the frontlines and get firsthand experience. Nothing beats seeing the real war. It's one thing to read about the Nazis in newspapers and through whispers, but another to see them up close.

Seven weeks after the invasion of Normandy, you are sent to rendezvous and assist American troops while you look for a lead on a top secret case.

This trip will either make you or break you. Can you show the world that you have what it takes, or will you not be able to carry through when a twist of fate sends your career spiralling downwards?

C H A N C E: do (something) despite its being dangerous or of uncertain outcome "You walked out on me! No text, call, or letter! Nothing! I just woke up one day and you were gone!" Rooster yelled at her. She stood there in pain from just seeing him, Rosemary couldn't look at him without seeing her mistakes. "I didn't mean to hurt you... I-I just couldn't say goodbye because if I did I never would have left. I have 3 children now because of my sister's death. I wasn't going to drag you along with that. You were already set back so much from Maverick and the hatred you had towards him, was something I didn't want. If I held you back then you would have hated me too," a few tears rolled down her face as she looked at his shoes. She couldn't bare to look up at him. He shook his head as he exhaled out trying to calm down. "But I would have never hated you. I can't hate you. It bothers me that I haven't been able to hate you for walking out on me... and then you have to hide with all the pain... I just wished you told me," he told her and took a step closer. She had looked up at him and her heart shattered even more. The whole group was there watching there fight but didn't even have words for any of it. Phoenix was the only one who knew about everything. The kids, her sister, her parents, all of it. Pheonix had watched her break down over and over and over, but she didn't realize how much it might have hurt her to see the one person she had loved her whole life. "I'm sorry, Bradley but I have to go," she turned around and passed the whole group. She didn't bare to change in the lockers but headed straight to her car.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16
Levi's Last Hope by LovedAThousandLives

*COMPLETED* When Rosie turned thirty-one with nothing to show for it, she panicked. Suddenly it felt like her biological clock was ticking, but she didn't want to settle for a man for the sake of having a child. So, after falling down a rabbit hole of research online, she decided to find herself a sperm donor. A strangely vague profile ends up catching her interest. The only real thing she learned about him was that his name was Levi and he was in the military. One invasive and intimate procedure later, Lily was conceived. It was a few months after her daughter was born, when Rosie should have been fretting about the price of nappies and lack of sleep, her worries were overshadowed by an event she never, ever could have predicted: a zombie outbreak. Rosie locked herself away in Finches tower block, stocked up on supplies from abandoned neighbouring flats, and lived every day with the sole purpose of keeping her daughter alive. Doing so meant avoiding the dead as well as the living. She'd been doing a decent job of it so far. Until a man breaks into the tower block, but it wasn't just any man. It was Levi, Lily's literal sperm donor. And he was there to save them. -- When a bioweapon was released on UK soil, Staff Sergeant Levi James Brackley was sent from pillar to post in an attempt to help neutralise and contain. Once it was clear neither was possible the last resort was to form a safe zone on the Isle of Wight. Levi decided to stay behind. The last evac chopper left without him on board. He knew it was a shot in the dark, that they were probably dead already, but he had to try. Without knowing it, they'd become a beacon of light during the darkest time of his life. Now it was his turn to be there's.

No Sacrifice Too Great | COD WW2 Story

43 parts Complete Mature

"No mission too difficult, no sacrifice too great." The words of wisdom and bravery. Being the only female in the platoon was no different from being another guy. Everyone treats me the same as they do with everyone else. I just...wish it stayed that way. Now, I feel like a distraction, rather than a comrade. | This story is inspired by Call Of Duty WWII. I only own part of the storyline, but a majority of it is owned by Sledgehammer Games. |
